The VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Treatments has been developed as a result of the move towards regulating advanced aesthetic therapies to ensure practitioner knowledge, client care and safety is at the forefront of all advanced non-medical aesthetic treatments. This diploma is suitable for qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add a range of Advanced Aesthetic
Treatments to their repertoire of treatment offerings and proceed to employment as a Level 4 Aesthetic Practitioner. To complete the  VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Aesthetic Treatments students must achieve complete three mandatory units and a selection of optional units to make up the 58 credits.

The three mandatory units include:

  • Principle, practice and ethics of Advanced Aesthetic Therapies (11 credits)
  • Investigative consultation for Advanced Aesthetic Therapies (11 credits)
  • Skin Science for Advanced Aesthetic Therapies (12 credits)

Then a selection of 4 optional units to make up the minimum remaining 24 credits (maximum of 26 credits)

  • Provide ultrasound treatments (7 credits)
  • Provide radio frequency treatments (7 credits)
  • Provide cosmetic skin needling treatments (7 credits)
  • Provide skin peeling treatments (7 credits)
  • Perform hair growth reduction using Intense Pulsed Light systems (9 credits)
  • Perform hair growth reduction using LASER systems (9 credits)
  • Perform skin rejuvenation using Intense Pulsed Light systems (9 credits)
  • Perform skin rejuvenation using LASER systems (9 credits)
  • Enhance appearance using Dermaplaning Techniques (3 credits)
  • Core of Knowledge for Laser & Light (1 credit) – is a compulsory prerequisite for any Laser or IPL qualification listed above

Students have the option to add on additional units at an extra cost.

Registration Fee: Included in course fee

Exam Fee: The course price includes case study dates provided upon course registration, one written exam attempt, one practical exam fee and two assignment submissions. For charges relating to additional written or practical exam attempts, case study days and assignment submissions please refer to our terms and conditions.

Equipment: Students have an option to purchase equipment and skincare from Dermedics UK.

Booking Fee: A non-refundable booking fee of £395 is required to confirm your place on the course.  The remaining amount can be paid as a single payment or in 6 – 10 interest free instalments at four week intervals. Please read our terms and conditions prior to course enrolment.

Entry Requirements: Students must hold a regulated (OFQUAL) qualification Level 2 and Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent. Please contact us if you do not meet the entry requirements.

Qualification Requirements: Once enrolled, students are provided access to our online learning portal with access to theory and reading materials. Written assignments which can be completed in your own time around current family and work commitments. To successfully complete this course students must undertake clinical cases studies at one of our centres, pass a multiple choice written exam and a practical exam. The written and practical exam contribute towards the final grade which are marked as fail or pass.
